back to Cycling

At times it's hard to face the fact that competitive cycling is no longer part of my life. The dream of winning the Tour de France has given way due to physical injuries and I'm learning to settle for a "normal life." I now channel my competitive spirit into other areas of my life. Professional level cycling is demanding both physically and mentally beyond most peoples' comprehension. For most people it is next to impossible to understand what it takes to be a professional cyclist. I wrote a book to chronicle my cycling adventures, how I started riding bicycles, and how I came to be a professional cyclist. A work-in-progress, the book titled "The Artist formerly known as Big C" should be completed soon.
